Sleep Lab

A Polysomnography or Sleep Study is the gold standard in the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).  It is a non-invasive procedure and consists of a simultaneous recording of multiple physiologic parameters related to sleep and wakefulness.

The Medical City Clinic @ Timog Sleep Lab is set up for overnight stay of patients catering to the following procedures:

1. Diagnostic Sleep Study - evaluates if patient has OSA and determines severity of the disease and can also diagnose other sleep disorders.
2. Therapeutic Sleep Study - involves continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) titration. It determines the pressure that the OSA patient needs to open up his airways during sleep and treat the respiratory events.
3. Split Night Sleep Study - both diagnostic and therapeutic studies done in one night.
